Deacon Bill’s Gospel Reflection on the Gospel theme this Sunday

If we are to experience God who is with us, we need to symbolically experience John the Baptist’s time in the desert. We do that by finding a place where we can be alone with God in prayer. But we must remember to pray with simplicity by ridding ourselves of the excesses of life; in silence by being still and calm and in solitude to discover who we are! When we do this we will experience God’s love in the midst of our sins and sufferings.
