Deacon Bill’s Gospel Reflection  for 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time:

In our Gospel reading today Jesus wants us to become fully aware that what we do is much more important that what we say we will do. Jesus wants us to say ‘yes’ when he invites us to follow him, but what he truly wants is for us is to follow him! Jesus wants us to say ‘yes’ when he calls on us to ‘love one another’ but what he truly wants is for us to love each other! That is the kind of person he wants us to be.  Isn’t that the type of person we want to be?
